Anthony "Big Ant" Ivory

Anthony Ivory is the patron saint of Storming the Floor. He stands as the inspiration for the STF All-Star team, which is populated annually by the five least likely-looking men's basketball players in DI.

The Washington, DC product signed to play Division I basketball at Temple University. He was officially listed at 6'10" and 350 lbs. This was almost certainly a case of underreporting.

Big Ant didn't make much of his time at Temple. When he wasn't warming a considerable portion of the bench, he managed the following stat line:

'05-'06: 9 Games - 6 Starts - 4.6 mpg - 4/10 FG - 2/2 FT - 1.1 rpg - 2 blocks - 2 steals
'06-'07: 9 Games - 0 Starts - 1.9 mpg - 5/9 FG - 4/5 FT - .6 rpg - 1 block - 1 steal

Following the '07 season, Big Ant transferred to DII Bowie State University, where he majored in Graphic Design. We sure hope that's working out for the big fella, because his tenure on the hardwood didn't improve at all:

'07-'08: 5 Games - 3 Starts - 15 mpg - 13/23 FG - 5/9 FT - 3.4 rpg - 0 Blocks - 0 steals

Big Ant doesn't appear in any box scores for the '08-'09 season, so we can only infer that his basketball career is over.

The STF fascination with Big Ant can most likely be traced back to a series of emails from Marco's uncle, who kept tabs on Ivory during his brief tenure in the Philadelphia area.
